Strathvaich is a historic Deer Forest set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. It offers second to none stalking with awe-inspiring landscapes and experiences to match. The Open Hill dominates the Estate and has been known to challenge even the very fittest sportsmen! The twice yearly cull of the beasts is carried out by two stalkers, both highly trained and experienced in the history and running of the Estate

The Estate is part of the East Ross Deer Group. Currently the Estate culls an average of 85 Stags a year and over 100 hinds and calves

As part of a local conservation effort Strathvaich has agreed to increase the  deer cull over the next few seasons to reduce the local deer population

The Estate offers guests trout and pike fishing in the River Vaich and various hill Lochans. A recent addition, The Lower Blackwater, adds Salmon and Sea Trout to the Estates offerings.
